Baked Honey Sesame Chicken

Folks, let me tell you, Ian and I have been making this super easy Baked Honey Sesame Chicken from The Recipe Critic since 2014. I am not lying when I say it has been 5 years of sweet, sticky bliss. I don’t think we were quite living together yet, and I remember the chicken and sauce filled Ian’s biggest casserole dish to the BRIM. Stirring was an adventure.

This recipe for baked honey sesame chicken can feed a table full of people or if you’re like us, feed two and have lots of leftovers. This time, we only cooked three chicken breasts and still had a ton to spare.

We generally make this when a regular old chicken stir fry just won’t cut it. It’s simple enough to prepare and you bake for 45 minutes – my favourite kind of recipes are just like this one: you prep the main part quickly and toss it in the oven (don’t forget a timer like I always do. Ian says the title of my autobiography will be “Oh, I Forgot to Set A Timer”)

I definitely recommend tossing the cubed chicken in a zip top bag with the cornstarch – less mess and you’re sure to have everything well coated. When you have put the chicken into the oven to bake, this is your best chance to chop and start cooking your stir fry veggies (just a little oil and garlic!) and start your rice or noodles. And before I forget, basmati rice is my all time fave!!

Serve up and enjoy! I hope this baked honey sesame chicken recipe becomes a go-to in your house like it has in ours!
