Simple Food, Fancy Napkins

The Caesar Burger

The Fancy Napkins' Caesar Burger

I cannot give you a reasonable explanation as to why I have never posted this recipe for the Caesar Burger. BUT to my defence, you have been able to find it on Ginger On the Loose for the past 8 years. Anyway, the Ginger on the Loose version requires a lot of time and preparation and I only recommend it if you will be cooking with another person and have quite a bit of time on your hands. Not to mention, if you click on that link, you will find yourself down the rabbit hole of early 20’s Laura who wrote about anything and everything and you will forget that you need to cook supper.

Anyhow, today’s version is much simpler! And as BBQ season starts to slow down (umm, I started writing this in the spring and the sentence used to say “As BBQ season amps up…”), you’ve got to try it! As you likely know, I LOVE Montreal Steak Spice, and the piece de resistance for the Caesar Burger is definitely the Steak Spiced Bacon.

In our house, for burgers, we simply form the ground beef and season with salt and pepper – no extras – so bear with me here. I promise it’s going to be good – plus the best part of the burger is the toppings, am I right? Speaking of toppings, my favourites are always lettuce, tomato and onion. We make fun skewers for these burgers just like you get at a restaurant with a caesar. Some of the options we have used are: onion rings, pepperoni, lime wedge, celery, bacon, pickled beans, pickled jalapeños. The options are endless. Comment below your favourite caesar snack!

So, without further ado, the moment you have been waiting for: The Fancy Napkins’ Caesar Burger (the drink, not the salad).
